David Murray

David first met Joyce early in his courtship of Lauren.  Unlike some son-in-law/mother-in-law relationships, David and Joyce got along great! Joyce had no problem telling David do what, when, and where, and David had no problem telling her “Yes Ma’am.”

 

With a vast background in various media, David is responsible for the branding and website. Lauren plays a significant part in this process as David’s sounding board. David acts as the JFECF Gopher; batteries die on the microphone during an event? He’s got you.  Balloons need to be hung in such a certain way? Give him a tool and watch it happen. Table center pieces need lain out? Done!  He is always willing to help. 

 

David feels like he honors Joyce by keeping a keen attention to detail while maintaining a level of fanciness.  On his first trip to Shawnee Mission, KS, David wandered into the kitchen and startled Joyce by asking, "Is there anything I can do to help?"  Emptying the dishwasher and brandishing a knife, Joyce flinched in surprise.  From then on David understood "stay in your lane." And like Joyce, stay out of the kitchen when he’s cooking.
