Kathryn Haun

Kathryn (Katie) Haun graduated from Kansas State University’s College of Architecture, Planning and Design in 2010. Since then, she has worked at Lockton Companies, specializing in placing and managing insurance programs for architectural and engineering firms. When not at work, Katie spends time running the energy out of her two little boys or (if it is football season) cheering on the Wildcats.

 

Katie met Joyce in 2011 shortly after she started dating Joyce’s nephew, Colin Haun. She instantly welcomed Katie into the family with open arms, quite literally! (she had a running joke about Katie’s preference not to give hugs). Joyce was a big personality, she truly put the JOY into her name! After watching how swiftly esophageal cancer stole that joy from her, Katie was moved to join JFECF to honor Joyce’s spirit and to help support those that have loved ones fighting the disease.
