Lauren Ferris

Joyce’s daughter, Lauren, carries on the light of her mom through this foundation honorably. Lauren not only lost her mother to esophageal cancer, she lost her reality tv partner, dessert sharing pal, travel companion, and best friend. Lauren looks forward to using her unique talents and skills to save others from losing their best friends due to esophageal cancer.

Lauren and her husband, David Murray, live in Indiana with their dog, Timbit. Lauren works as a Staff Engineer at Johnson&Johnson MedTech. She engineers and develops knee replacements. Lauren helped develop the knee replacements that gave Joyce back her mobility. Lauren earned her Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Biomechanics from the University of Kansas and is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Denver. Lauren brings her experiences in medical research and development to the Board as they navigate the amazing research being done on esophageal cancer.
